bandwidthd – tracks usage of TCP/IP network subnets and builds HTML files with graphs to display network utilization. Charts are built by individual IP to show their utilization over 2 day, 8 day, 45 day, and 400 day periods. It color codes HTTP, HTTPS, TCP,UDP, ICMP, VPN, and P2P traffic. Also, network utilization is now logged in CDF per IP address for 2.5 minute, 10 minute, 1 hour, and 12 hour periods. Unlike MRTG, it tracks each individual IP address, not the status of any particular link. It is easy to install, has low overhead, and has few dependencies.
note:
BandwidthD seems to have been discontinued and recent Sourceforge reviews
suggest the tool is no longer being updated and causes thousands of instances
to be spawned.
Xaraya – Xaraya is a web application framework and content management system written in PHP. It’s completely open source, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2. Although it’s based on an unpublished branch of PostNuke, the codebase is now completely different.
It has a powerful set of features which focus on the separation of content and design to allow more flexibility. As such, Xaraya can be used as both a framework and a content management system which makes it possible to create blogs, online communities, ecommerce, or any other type of site you want. It also works with different databases such MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
